Jose L. Piedra
Not only are José L. Piedra’s cigars made with a blend of filler tobacco grown exclusively in the Remedios tobacco region, but they are also completely handmade using short fillers, or the shorter sections of the leaf –– known as a Tripa Corta, Totalmente a Mano technique. A Habanos that started with the Spanish Piedra family that arrived in Cuba in 1880s in Santa Clara, the heart of the Remedios region where tobacco has grown since the 16th century, it was carried on by José Lamadrid Piedra, of the second generation, who further developed the brand and built it into the intuition it is known as today. A medium- to full-bodied smoke characterises the José L. Piedra, making it an easy favourite for many.
